It was while living abroad (2015), Laurie completed her 200 HR RYT with Rebecca Cohen. Her very first yoga students were active duty Marines, who attended her classes at the base gym while living in Japan.

On the West Coast (2016-2018) she had the opportunity to teach for Yoga Six Studios. Her style of teaching was deeply influenced by the high standards at Y6 and the various opportunities for growth. The community at Yoga Six will forever hold a special spot in her heart. Laurie’s time here was magic!

A committed student, she studied Anatomy with the revered Judith Hanson Lassater. That same year Laurie qualified and ran the Boston Marathon (2018).

2018 brought more growth. Relocating to the Washington DC area, Laurie continued her teaching journey while residing here. Having many unique opportunities to teach and grow… she guided classes in corporate settings, local studios, YogaWorks, and at gyms, such as Equinox. Blessed by the talented yoga community in the DMV, and lucky to count so many of her peers as her teachers + influencers of her evolving teaching style. Always eager for growth, Laurie has benefited from the vast opportunities to study in the DC region, to include: Sequencing with Jason Crandell, weekend Strength workshop with Kino Macgregor, and a Rocket immersion with Kevin Castillo.

Most recently (2020 - 2021) Laurie completed a 100 Hour YogaWorks Methodology certification, a 300 HR certification with Noah Mazé, and a 75 Hour Somatics & Sequencing with Eoin Finn.

Additionally, Laurie has training in Yin style yoga, SUP yoga, Kids Yoga, and Postnatal Exercise Specialist.
